Sammendrag
I have a PhD (2011) in Healthcare Operational Research from the University of Southampton, UK.
I am particularly interested in using computer simulation techniques, including Discrete Event Simulation (DES), System Dynamics (SD) and Agent Based Simulation (ABS) to improve health and social care systems.
My PhD utilised simulation modelling to improve the screening and treatment of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) in particular Chlamydia in the UK, using a hybrid DES-SD simulation model.
I held a post-doc on the Care Life Cycle (CLC) project at the University of Southampton from 2010-2015. The CLC research programme focussed on the factors affecting both the supply and demand of health and social care.
Since 2015, I have worked as a researcher for the Centre for Connected Care (C3), a Norwegian Research Council project at Oslo University Hospital, Norway. The C3 aims to accelerate adoption and diffusion of patient-centric innovations that change patient pathways and delivery systems, empower users and increase growth in the health care industry. I am also a researcher in the Health Services Research Unit (HØKH) at Akershus University Hospital, Norway.
