DISH – Digital & Innovation Skills Helix in Health

Populærvitenskapelig sammendrag

DISH, Digital & Innovation Skills Helix in Health, is a European project aimed at strengthening the innovation readiness and digital skills of healthcare staff regarding development, use and implementation of eHealth1 solutions in their everyday practice. The DISH project will address the shortage of innovation readiness and the lack of digital skills in health care staff by equipping them with relevant knowledge and competencies as well as enabling them to use and implement eHealth solutions supported by national digitalisation strategies.

The objective of the DISH project is therefore to look into the present and future skills needs in order to succeed with the necessary digitalisation in the sector, and will on that basis develop, test and present different concepts, which will provide health care staff with the necessary knowledge and skills to better cope with the digital transformation of the healthcare sector.

The project, started in November 2018, will run over three years and will include a preparation phase, a development phase and a testing phase, where health care providers, educational institutions and clusters work closely together to ensure the fulfilment of real needs and exploitability of results.

The project partnership covers 8 EU countries and represents different cultures, political structures, educational traditions and health care systems. These diversities pooled in one project team, will allow sufficient flexibility and diversity to ensure project outcomes’ scalability and transferability to other European regions.
