The project started as a joint project between Nord-Trøndelag University College (HiNT) and Mid Sweden University (Mittuniversitetet) in 2010-2013. The project developed an internettbased simulation 'engine' for training emergency management personell. A set of scenaries of emergency situations allowed the project to analyze a range of challenges in the communications between the different rescue agencies.
From 2015 the project gained renewed financing from Interreg (European regional development fund) for the period 2015 - 2018 in order to expand the tools developed for training emergency personell in Trøndelag and Jämtland.
Nord university contribues personell from the ICT- and geography sections at the School of Social Sciences. The project is associated with the studies Games and Entertainment Technology and Media Technology.
