Reference is made to NORAGRIC's application of 7 June 2005, regarding financial
support, amounting to NOK 84.000,-, for one Master's degree student from
Serbia (Mr. Svetolik Antic), who has been selected as qualified applicant for
the two year International Master programme in Applied Aquaculture at the
Norwegian University of Life Sciences. Mr. Svetolik Antic has completed the
final year at the Faculty of Agriculture on Belgrade, Department of Animal
Production, with particular focus on the topic aquaculture. The Republic
Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management has given its
recommendations for the study, emphasizing the importance of science and
education in the field of aquaculture, which is a prospective branch of the
national economy of Serbia. It is expected that Mr. Antic shall return to his
own country after the'' completion of his studies.The knowledge acquired
during the studies in Norway is thus expected to be of benefit for the
agricultural development as well as the economic development of Serbia.
The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has considered your request for
support and is pleased to inform you that it has decided to allocate NOK 84
000 for the above mentioned programme. The administrative costs of 5% are
included in this', amount. The allocated amount shall cover the costs for the
first academic year, starting on 15 August 2005. The grant is allocated on the
condition that Mr. Antic returns to Serbia after completion of the Master
programme.
