Sammendrag
The regional universities seek to be a part of the positive changes and
development that take place in faculties in the large European community. A
first important step in this process is a harmonization of our curricula and
syllabus with other faculties and transition to European Credit Transfer
System, (ECTS). Bologna?s declaration defines study in two cycles, bachelor
and master. Basic prerequisite for implementation of such study is a complete
analysis old curricula and syllabus and creation of new ones.
Through the implementation of ECTS mobility of the students and comparability
of their university degree will be much easer. The quality of study will
increase, and the students will increase, and the students will be motivated
with a possibility of achieving the university degree in less time then before
(BSc). This kind of study would be a first step in the life long learning
process.
This project will focus on the whole scale of scientific development within
genetics, breeding, husbandry and hygiene of large and small farm animals.
Teaching will be conducted in lectures, seminars, practical courses and
colloquia. Basic lectures in animal breeding and animal husbandry, hygiene and
nutrition will be offered to students who study Agricultural Sciences in their
first and second year.
For students studying Animal breeding as the major study lectures of animal
breeding, husbandry, hygiene, nutrition and animal genetics, including
molecular genetics will be offered. Student will have possibility to choose
optional subject. This will be developed trough this project.
Animal Breeding and Husbandry is generally taught at four different levels:
· Genetics for BSc-students Agriculture
· Animal Breeding and (applied) Husbandry (applied) and BSc-thesis for
BSc-level Animal Sciences students
· Advanced courses and MSc-level, specialization and non-specialization in
Animal Sciences
