Major burn injuries occur mostly without any warning and may in a dramatic way change the rest of the life of the person afflicted. Today, there are very few long-term follow-up studies of burn injured person’s subjective experiences of their own situation. In 2013, a follow-up study was conducted among previous burn injured patients, who participated in a similar study in 2001 on health and quality of life. The study purpose is to gain knowledge in order to improve rehabilitation and long-term follow-up after major burns.
