Retraining and social adaptation of military officers and their family members in Ukraine

Vitenskapelig sammendrag

The project aims at retraining of military officers and members of their families, theby contributing to their employment and social integration, and further development of the re-training model assuring long-term sustainability of re-training in Ukraine.

The project has been going since 2003, and its current project period is 2015- 2019. The project is financed by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is administered by Nord University on the Norwegian side, and by the International Foundation of Social Adaptation on the Ukrainian side.

There are currently 15 groups being re-trained in many cities and universities in many parts of Ukraine (see list at the end). Each group has around 30 participants. There are many different specialties at the various universities, and these are tailored to the needs of the labour market in the various regions.
