Started in the beginning of 2016, the project aims to strengthen the Norwegian-Ukrainian institutional partnership in the field of the Public Sector Economy Education: Accounting, Budgeting and Finance (NUPSEE) through academic cooperation.
The main project’s goals are:
1) To develop and harmonize the relevant curriculum and quality assurance system in the field of Public Sector Economy: Accounting, Budgeting and Finance;
2) To develop the joint (degree) Master of Science program in Public Sector Economy (MSc PSE) with knowledge, competence and skills relevant for the labor market of Ukraine in terms of its faster integration into the European community (e.g. in terms of the public administration reform required by the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement);
3) To increase mobility of students and faculty in both directions between Norway and Ukraine;
4) To improve the research-based approach to education by intensifying joint research as well as joint education of young Ukrainian PhD researchers;
5) To improve links and academic cooperation between universities and national and international public sector stakeholders in terms of securing relevance of education and research activities for the faster integration of Ukraine into the European community;
6) To establish the Ukrainian Center for International Education and Research in the Area of Public Sector Economy (Accounting, Budgeting and Finance) at KNU that takes responsibility for disseminating best practices among NUUA partners and other Universities in Ukraine.
The expected impact from the project is a contribution to the faster integration of Ukraine into the European Community by providing education for young specialists and research in order to implement public administration reform in the light of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.
