The Norwegian Institute of Public Health has been commissioned by “Ordering Forum, Regional Health Authorities (RHF) in the National System for Managed Introduction of New Health Technologies (within the Specialist Health Service in Norway)” to prepare an HTA on organ donation with the use of normothermic regional perfusion in patients who die of cardiac and respiratory arrest after withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment. The HTA will contain three domains: effectiveness and safety in addition to legal and ethical consequences. The legal and ethical issues and consequences will be the most important domains.
