Norwegian Kindergartens as arenas for inclusion and social justice

Sammendrag

Staff in both kindergartens expressed a positive attitude towards the mother tongue as an important basis when minority language children are to learn Norwegian, and that it is important that parents speak their first language with the children. The access to somebody speaking the children’s first language is little, varying and random. The systematic educational work with first and second languages is overall lacking in general.
