CHALLENGES IN THE MANAGEMENT AND ACCEPTANCE OF AUTOMATION IN URBAN TRANSPORT IN NORWAY

Sammendrag

This paper illustrates the analysis of challenges in the management of autonomous urban transport from the System Engineering perspective, which is juxtaposed to practices imposed on Software Engineering developments in any type of automation within urban environments. The paper is deliberately written from two different points of view, with appropriate precision, slightly different concerns and questions posed. By building bridges between the complexity of managing autonomous urban transport, and required efficiency or suitability of software solutions which secures automation in general, urban transport could benefit from assessing challenges, risks, feasibility and efficiency of its automation.
