Sammendrag

Background: •Social media impacts the lives of youth in a complex way •Little is known about how SOME is used by migrants •Mental health problems are more prevalent in migrant youth Research question: How do immigrant youth use SOME, and how may SOME contribute to health promotion? Public health promotion potentials: •Feed reliable and cultural sensitive information about youth’s developmental issues, sexual and mental health into highly used SOME platforms combined with chats facilitated by professionals. •Recruit potential peer role models for blogging activities •Initiate cultural sensitive educational projects also directed to ethnic Norwegian youths.
