Sammendrag
I am Biochemical Engineer, M.Sc. and PhD in Biochemical Engineering. I am currently Post-Doctoral Researcher at Industrial Ecology Programme (IndEcol) in the Department of Energy and Process Engineering (EPT) at NTNU under the supervision of Francesco Cherubini and Anders Arvesen. I am working in the analysis and process simulation for biofuels and energetic systems.
My main areas of interest are process simulation and life cycle assessment of biologic and energetic processes. I was already involved in LCA of dendroenergetic forest systems, gasoline, lignocellulosic-based bioethanol, bio-hydrogen, microalgae-based biodiesel, microalgae proteins, hot water systems, photovoltaic systems and lignin production. I have worked in research centers and universities in Chile, Spain, Mexico, Colombia and France.
Before this position, I worked as postdoctoral researcher supervised by Olivier Bernard in the French National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Control (INRIA). In this position I evaluated the environmental sustainability (LCA) and the process design of microalgae production systems, within two projects: ANR Purple Sun Project and Phyto Récolte Project.
For my PhD thesis I worked under the supervision of German Aroca on the topic of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of bioethanol production from Eucalyptus globulus in the Chilean context in the School of Biochemical Engineering (EIB) at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso from Chile.
