Hong Zhu (Known as Ada), is a native of China and right now resident in Norway. She completed her Bachelor in Social Work in China, and received two Masters in Europe: one in Educational Research Methods, from University of Warwick, UK; and one in Social Work, from Erasmus Scholarship Program, delivered via universities from Portugal, Norway, and Sweden. Along with educational training, she has years of working experience in the field of social work, community development and social research across countries.
Hong current is employed as PhD research fellow at the Child Welfare and Social Work Department, The Arctic University of Norway. Her main research focus is about interaction among technologies, innovation, and social work. In specific, she is currently working on her PhD project that addresses the use of ICTs to facilitate innovation in public welfare services.
Due to her trains-national/cross-cultural experience as an immigrant, Hong also gradually develop a research interest in migration studies, especially towards the immigrant families’ social capitals and integration in the host societies. She is willing to build her professional connections with academics and practitioners from different cultures and countries.
