In 2019 the artistic persona Rose Hammer was created as a response to the invitation by osloBIENNALEN to Dora García to create a work in public space. Rose Hammer is made of 20 artists related in different ways to KHiO. This collective author has proposed to oB the work National Episodes, agit prop theater performances aiming at creating audience awareness in relation to pivotal moments of the history of Norway.
After their 2019 performance Grini and the futures of Norway, Rose Hammer is producing the performance Pharmakos (The Plague). Pharmakos is a Greek term that is at the origin of the word pharmacy but which etymologically means "the sacrifice or exile of a scapegoat".
Pharmakos will be presented in Sofienberg Kirke, Oslo, in October 2020, staging in a very free manner political and cultural situations taking place around 1918, a very significant year in Norway's history.
