Older adults are the fastest growing segment of the population. This project relates challenges faced by older adult employees during the COVID-19 crisis in order to describe effective strategies to reduce the digital divide and technostress; and to support inclusion and retention in the marketplace. A scoping review was conducted using humanistic and social electronic databases. After applying inclusion criteria, 13 articles were included.
This review shows that: 1) ICT educational training courses, 2) social dialogue, 3) building inclusive workplaces and 4) implementation of successful aging in public policies - are the most important strategies to reduce digital divide and technostress; and to support inclusion and retention to the working market. Our results are beneficial for working market organizations, the governance of human resources and policymakers by showing how concrete strategies can be implemented at multiple levels for individuals, organisations, industries and different societies.
