Printmaking and the Cinematic Gesture: New methods of mark making, new articulations of installation design, filmic and written relationship of practice, at the basis a question of how the cinematic can articulate gestural questions in painting

Printmaking gives a wide range of tools for artists to make forms in repeat: in this research project, supported by a number of institutions, I will be investigating how the many processes of printmaking can lead to a relationship between cinema and painting.

This research time, including training time in printmaking techniques at the Frans Masereel Centrum, will have multiple outcomes: printmaking courses at KHIO, my full exhibition design for Contour Biennial and my collected writings and works with Occasional Papers.
