TEiCON focusses on providing the broiler and turkey industries and Norwegian animal health authorities with state-of-the art diagnostic tools and scientific data that can be used to reinforce a sustainable farming system and further develop our preparedness, and thus maintain and strengthen the competitive advantage of the Norwegian poultry meat industry. TEiCON will help Norway stay on the front line of climate smart livestock production, therefore complying with both UN sustainable developments goals and FAO goals. The mitigation of coccidiosis not only translates into economic gains and better growth but also better animal welfare, more effective and sustainable use of resources, reduced Green-house gas emissions and reduced antimicrobial resistance.
