Health inequities among people with disabilities are commonly due to contextual factors arising from environmental stressors, that create unfair living conditions and exacerbate health disparities. Work towards promoting social sustainability means, among other things, creating a society that is inclusive for everyone. However, research aimed at understanding the role external environmental mechanisms play on health and well-being among people with disabilities in the Nordic region have remained largely unaddressed. This project applies a mixed-methods approach to examine the relationship between social determinants of health related to the built environment among adults with disabilities in Norway.
