Vitenskapelig sammendrag
The year 2009 is the 200th anniversary for Charles Darwin and 150th anniversary for the publication of his book “On the Origin of Species”. During the winter 2008/2009 three young researchers from CEES travelled in the footsteps of Charles Darwin, with final destination the Galapagos Islands. At Researchers’ Night 25 September 2009 two of them, Tore Oldeide Elgvin (26 years old, male) and Kjetil Lysne Voje (27 years old, male), gave a performance with anecdotes, photographs and video from the expedition. The chair of CEES, Professor Nils Chr. Stenseth introduced and chaired the session (including Q&A at the end of the session). (The third participant at the expedition gave a similar performance at another Researchers’ Night event in another Norwegian city.)
