RFID in society - Preparing for the internet of things - 11201048
Sammendrag
This project shall explore the uses of RFID in society and devleop a methodology that can aide our understanding of and help give control over this technology. RFID is central to Internet of Things (IoT) and is rapidly permeating Norwegian sociality. The project seeks to understand the mechanisms that are linked to uses of RFID. As a technology RFID is farily simple, but it has a vast number of possible uses. For the consumer it is mostly invisible. but can carry a great deal of internet-based information. Thus, from a consumer and citizen perspective the great challenge or threat is on privacy issues. This project thus seeks to develop perspectives and a methodology for understanding and analysing uses of RFID in society in ways that incorporate all socially relevant aspects.
