Artsbased practice as research: The Voices of the Role – the Role of the Voice
This project has investigated subjective and collective experience and understanding through creative exploration of body and voice. Research focus is transformative processes that stimulates creativity and intuition. These are explored through play in the liminal space between me and not-me, and acknowledging different levels of imagination and realities. Since 2009, the project has addressed critically the potential of practice as research methodology through workshop format. With ‘the human voice’ as expressive medium the project continues to develop practice with the presumption of body/mind as a whole, also for thinking. The project has been presented with papers and workshops on several international conferences. A peer-reviewed book chapter has been published in Arts Therapies and the Intelligence of Feeling with the title 'Drama, heart and soul: Understanding the relationship between the unique inner voice, heart intelligence and the intelligence of feeling'. Co-author: David Keir Wright. ECArTE Publications Octobre 2013, Plymouth University Press.
