Expression Pattern of UDG in Arabidopsis thaliana wt and an UDG Promoter Insertion line

Sammendrag

Uracil-DNA glycosylase (UDG) is involved in the base excision repair pathway for removing uracil in DNA. The expression pattern and specific activity of UDG in Arabidopsis thaliana, ecotype Colombia, is investigated in 2 and 6 weeks old wt-plants and an UDG promoter insertion line (GABI-Kat Line 108B07). RT-PCR shows that UDG is expressed in all investigated tissues. The examined insertion line is homozygous for the T-DNA insert
