Computational lexica need constant maintenance, in particular with respect to shifts in word usage, occurrences of new words, and in adapting, e.g., a computational grammar to a new domain. In order to keep lexicons in sync with language development, and for purposes of lexical acquisition, a set of probabilistic classifiers were designed and trained for automatically updating lexical properties. We considered three properties for nouns: animate, relational and measure, for the language Norwegian.
