Sammendrag

“ALL MY DANCES” by Human Works "All my dances" is the sixth project of the dance- and theatre company Human Works, and is a solo project for dancer and choreographer Anne-Linn Akselsen with text, video and dramaturgy by Adrián Minkowicz. "All my dances" is a desire to return to the performer as a starting point and use all the knowledge and history that is stored in the performers memory and artistic work as the conceptual base for a performance. We want to work with the idea of a self-portrait, in which the performers own experiences are central. In an art-historical perspective, the self-portrait has given us direct access to the artists' own visions and work, through how the artist has chosen to represent himself. It is a self-reflective act that gives us direct insight into the artist 's moods and mind-sets. The desire is to work with the performer's actual history, what the performer has worked with in her career. We also want to work with the performer's inner life, through her hopes and dreams. What dreams for her work does the performer still keep alive? Which aspirations drive the performer forward? "All my dances" is also a historical lens, which allows us to look at moments lost in history, merging the stories from the performer's life with stories from other performers lives and other historical events that have influenced the performer. There is also room for fictional storytelling here. Projection of video will be used as a dramaturgical tool throughout the performance. The video work will provide a historical perspective on the situation and give us the freedom to play with different increments of time and using different “times” in a dramaturgical sense. The historical material and historical recreations, which we ourselves produce, will be used as a mode of storytelling. As a spin-off project of "All my dances" we would also like to continue working with documentary film, which proved so successful in the project "Dry Act #2: South Domino".
