Sammendrag
Long before ships become unmanned , autonomous ship technology mat be used and tested onboard to relieve an overtired night watch or as assistance in crowded waters. This technology can be AI systems that can make decisions and collision avoidance, but until such methods become robust it will to a large part be human remote operators. What are the challenges and opportunities in remote control of ships?
