Improving the value chain of the Norwegian fish industry - from capture to holistic utilization and functional products

A poster presenting the planned work for a PhD-thesis which will be conducted (2018-2021) at the department of Biotechnology and Food Science, NTNU. As part of the project OPTiMAT, the work of this thesis aims to improve the value chain of the Norwegian fish industry by improving the utilization of marine rest raw material. Relevant biotechnological processing methods: enzymatic hydrolysis, isoelectric precipitation, membrane filtration. Focus will be on extraction and characterization of bioactive peptides.
