Developemenrt of a mineral processing modelling programme as a tool for optimal decicions in waste treatment

Sammendrag

Aims of waste treatment is to minimise landfills and reduce emmisions . The right choise of treatment may have much influence upon those of ten conflicting aims may be balanced against each other. Models offe r a possibility to predict the outcome of different options for treat ment. Mineral processing has many similarities to waste processing. Over the years an expertise in the process follow up uhas been devel oped, in the later yeasr as extensive models. Those models can be eas ily transferred to waste treatment and this paper gives examples of the results of such modelling.
