Sammendrag
The Nobel prize in chemistry for the year 2000 was given for the discovery of "conducting polymers", or, as we call the field now-a-days, "polymeric organic semiconductors". We have applied synchrotron radiation at the ESRF (and Hasylab) extensively for studies of various such materials, and the talk will give an overview, also covering studies of deposited thin layers and in situ doping, related to the application of polymeric semiconductors in thin-sheet light-emitting diodes (LED).
