Tittel

Direct Link between Hetauda and Kathmandu Evaluation of the Proposed Road Tunnels, Nepal

Sammendrag

The proposed Hetauda-Kathmandu direct link road project lies in the central part of the kingdom of Nepal in Bagmati Zone. The project is potentially viable, short and efficient road link between two cities Kathmandu and Hetauda. The development of this direct link road will reduce the existing travel distance by 60 to 70 percent, thereby significant reduction in transport cost, foreign exchange saving and reduction in travel time from existing 6 to 8 hours to 1 to 2 hours. Therefore, this project will be a priority road project in Nepal's transport network development policy and will pay a very important role for the industrial and socio-economic development of the country.
