Marine Robotics in Aquaculture: Challenges and Opportunities

This talk presented the ongoing research within SINTEF Ocean in the fields of autonomy, remote control and underwater robotics for sea aquaculture, since SINTEF Ocean has been investigating unmanned vessels and remote technology for application in aquaculture sites for the last 15 years. In particular, SINTEF Ocean has through research projects such as CageReporter (RCN 269087), Artifex (RCN 256241), Netclean 24/7 (RCN 296392) and SFI Exposed (RCN 237790) developed novel functions for autonomous navigation and robust control of underwater vehicles in net pens.
