Living in the Landscape Launch; A Multidisciplinary Art-Based Exhibition. The Living in the Landscape exhibition presents the results of thematic network on Arctic Sustainable Arts and Design’s (ASAD) International Spring School: Living in the Landscape (LiLa). During the school that took place online in three locations: Nesna Norway, Rovaniemi Finland and Syktyvkar Russia, the nature, landscapes, environment and people's everyday life were studied through multidisciplinary methods and theoretical approaches of natural science, education and arts. The intention was to create dialogue between science and arts and with people living in their landscapes using online / hybrid / digital methods. All together 14 PhD and MA students and 5 scholars / artists from various fields surveyed and analyzed the landscapes and people's everyday lives through multidisciplinary methods and theoretical approaches. The focus was the encounters between traditions and modern times: traditional forms of culture and contemporary practices. The results of the LiLa Spring School was built using art-based methods and combining the different perspectives and research results as a whole that at the same time present different natural, social, humanistic landscapes of these three locations and also the methods of developed multidisciplinary collaboration in higher education pedagogy. Lila was coordinated in collaboration by the Faculty of Art and Design, University of Lapland and Nord University of Norway. The other participant universities were the Syktyvkar State University from Russia and The Arctic University of Norway. The funders for Living in the Landscapes Summer Schools development has been the Nordic-Russia Cooperation -programme in Education and Research (2018) and University of the Arctic / Arctic University of Norway (2020).
