The use of RE-Searchers in Norway

Sammendrag

The NTNU RE Research Group and scholars from the University of Exeter and other institutions, cooperate in a project called InDeep: Innovation in Deep Learning with Social Studies and Studies of Religion and Worldviews in schools (2022-2026). The overall objective is to develop theoretical and practical knowledge of how to achive "deep learning" in and across Social Studies and Studies of Religion and Worldviews in schools, and how to prepare teacher students for this type of teaching. An overall hypothesis is that enquiry based methods of teaching, spesifically the "RE-searchers" developed at the University of Exeter, is a means to achive "deep learning" as described in a new National Curricula in Norway from 2020. In this presentation, I present our main research questions, some background information, who is involved, the projects stucture, how it is run and plans ahead.
