Farmer-managed seed systems and how to promote them: A synthesis of research

Two papers were presented: A synthesis of research on farmer-managed seed systems and how to promote them, and a study of the bottlenecks in this regard. The presentation was an input to ongoing negotiations under the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture on the implementation of conservation and sustainable use of crop genetic resources and farmers' rights under the Treaty.
