Sammendrag

The research presented in this report is part of an undergoing dr.ing. study which started in 1999. The essential issues of this PhD study are the differences between creep properties in compression and tension as well as the influence of temperature on creep in tension. The first paper given in this report has been presented in ”International PhD Symposium in Civil Engineering” in Vienna, October 2000. Since the presentation of the article, the tensile rig has been upgraded to overcome some measuring problems. The tensile creep experiments will continue throughout the PhD thesis, and several other important issues related to creep will also be considered. The second paper will be presented in a conference ”CONCREE6 : Creep, Shrinkage and durability Mechanics of Concrete and Other Quasi-Brittle Materials” in Cambridge, USA,August 2001. More detailed analyses of large number of stress rig results will continue throughout the PhD study, and a material modell will be developed. The thesis is planned to be fulfilled at the end of 2002.
