Sammendrag
The occurrence of dropwort (Filipendula vulgaris Moench.) at Skånestangen, Levanger, Central Norway, represents the northernmost locality for this southeastern species in Norway. The species grows in an area earlier used for calf grazing at the farm Skå nes Vestre. The occurrence depends on clearing and grazing to prevent overgrowing. All individuals of dropwort (Filipendula vulgaris) within the area were registered. The occurrence of other species was also recorded and vegetation analyses were carried out. Some trees and bushes were cleared in 1998, and since that time, lambs have grazed the area. A preliminary management plan recommends maintaining the grazing and also some more clearing. The effects of the management will be followed up until 2004 . The work will conclude in a management plan.
