This manual is aimed at end-users of Simon. An end-user is typically a metallurgist, or another person with relevant process background. The process operators will typically not be end-users of the present version of Simon. By working through this manual, the user will be able to use all features of the Simon program. The user is expected to have good process knowledge. Hence, explanations of process behavior are limited to cases where unexpected results appear. In these cases, the given explanations focus on dynamical propterties, and not so much on physical properties.
