Sustainability Reporting in Shipping

The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is expected to become the broadly adopted framework for preparing, communicating and requesting information about corporate performance. It gives guidance on selecting generally applicable and organisation-specific indicators. This paper illustrates how to use environmental management tools to gather needed data and information to be presented by means of performance indicators.
