Sammendrag
A workshop on processing of DNA damage: Molecular mechanisms and
biological effects was held under the auspices of the EU concerted
action on DNA repair and cancer, at Noordwijkerhout (The
Netherlands)20-25 April, 1996. The local organisation of the meeting
was done under the auspices of the Medical Genetic Centre South-West
Netherlands (MGC). Over 250 scientists participated, and the format of
the meeting followed that of the 1987 and 1991 workshops. There has
been enormous progress recently in many aspects of DNA repair, and many
exciting new results were presented. A report of the scientific outcome
of the meeting is presented.
