A project group, including the undersigned, has developed a model for a practice-oriented teacher training for off-campus students enrolled in part-time studies. The model comprises of ? and is based on - three main learning platforms: the students will achieve knowledge when they attend lectures at gatherings, through teaching in practice schools in their local community, and through the use of the Internet. The new model was implemented and tried out on the class of 2003 (DALU03). There are numerous questions connected to the implementation of a new model of teaching and learning. How do we as tutors work to make the ideas for the new model for teachers training come true? To what level are we able to use the students? experiences from their individual school practice in our sessions at gatherings? How do we make use of the Internet as a place for good learning at the same level as practice teaching and on-campus tuition? A group of students were told to give their opinion about my work: How it functioned, what functioned well, and what did not function so well. Based on the answers received, and my own reflections, I summarise the experiences, and give evaluative comments to the work undertaken.
