Porosity of oil well cement slurries during setting

The magnetostratigraphy of the Middle Jurassic Brent Group has previously been established in the Visund field area. At least 14 time-lines based on magnetopolarity stratigraphy have been correlatedbetween well 34/8-1 and 34/8-5. The main objective with the present report is to construct a magnetopolarity stratigraphy in well 34/8-8 and extend the chronostrati graphic correlation within the Visund field area. Further, the intention is to add new data from well 34/8-8 to increase our understanding of the magnetic properties of these deltaicsediments. More specifically this concerns zones carrying high Natural Remanent Magnetization (NRM) at the transition between Rannoch/Etive and Ness/Tarbert Formations. Apparently the latter high NRM intensity zone is of sequence stratigraphic importance as marker horizon in the Visund and Gullfaks area.
