Developing ultra high performance concrete products

A study was undertaken to explore the possibility of producing ultra high performance concrete from materials commercially available in Northern Norway. The results indicate that with the actual condensed silica fume (SF) and cement SF/b=0,2 and w/b=0,15 gives maximum packing of the binder. UHPC specimens were produced with low compaction porosity and compressive strenghts around 150 MPa which is a bit low; probably due to the actual natural aggregate.
