Sammendrag
The Church of Norway is reforming its (catechetical) programme for Christian Education, as well as the Order for Worship. This article will use the liturgical works of Martin Luther from the 1520s as a starting point. Luther cautiously suggested ways of adapting the Mass for use in local congregations and proposed ways to make it more relevant to the common people. Liturgy, while it receives universal traditions, is always local. Luther believed that liturgical change depended upon actual pastoral circumstances, and that it had to be preceded by catechetical teaching. The Church of Norway can use the insights of Luther, to connect the liturgical and the catechetical reform, and thus focus on dissemination of the content of faith while working with reform of the liturgies, as well as focus on liturgy and worship while working with reform of the catechetical programme.
