Sammendrag

Political integration or unification, in order to be successful, depends to a large extent upon meaningful community building. This is, essentially "bottom-up"process, whichoughtto be followed according to neccessary elements of mutually predictive behaviour. Examples are given of successful (and less successful)attempts of political communit y building and re gional political integration.
