Sammendrag

Reduced body height and absence of puberty are major problems for Turner patients. New hormone treatment has potential to normalize thedevelopment. AIM: To analyze permanent tooth size and morphology and to perform asymmetry analysis between the teeth of the right and the left side. SUBJECTS: 33 Turner syndrome patients aged 7-16.7 years, karyotypes 45X (n=23), 45x/46XX (n=3), 46X,i(Xq) (n=3) others (n=4). 33 girls, age range 10.2-16.7 years, served as controls. METHODS: a) Mesiodistal and buccolingual tooth crown diameters were measured on plaster casts. b) 11 morphological traits were defined. The teeth were scored visually on plaster casts and on intraoral slides, c) Asymmetry was recorded from two variables: (i) Pairs of bilateral corresponding teeth with differences in mesio-distal tooth width exceeding 0.2mm, or (ii) morphological differences scored according to the eleven traits. RESULTS: The mesiodistal diameter was significantly reduced for every tooth measured except for the maxillary canine. The bucco-lingual dimension was reduced on ly for four teeth. 10 morphological traits were identified in the Turner patients; only 7 occured in This paper investigates whether there exists a long-run equilibrium between wheat prices in different markets and whether there has been a trend towards wheat market integration world wide. American, Canadian, Australian and French monthly wheat prices from January 1987 to December 1996 are applied to track policy effects of international trade agreements. First, a subsample covering the period 1987-94 is analysed, and then a subsample made up of the last two years is analysed. Johansen-Juselius estimation is undertaken to detect the devel opment throughout the period. The results do not indicate increased integration the last years. However, the period following the reform is rather short, m aking the results fragile.
