The Economics of Television Sports Rights. Europe and the US - A Comparative Analysis

This article has shown that Europe has only partly adopted the North American model for distributing sports rights after the deregulation of European broadcasting in the mid-1980s. The prices, especially for soccer rights, have increased substantially.
