Sammendrag
Simulation should be seen as a major arena for studying interdisciplinary teams. However, the varied composition of interdisciplinary team participants, in terms of experience, age, profession and working cultures, make it hard to consider all relevant aspects to be included in (re)creating realistic simulations. This difficulty needs to be overcome if one is to maximize the benefits of interdisciplinary simulation training. To address this challenge, the paper reviews relevant literature within interdisciplinary simulation and team practices to create an overview of relevant aspects to include in such simulation design. The paper also tests the factors identified in the literature review in preliminary simulation observations.
