The main objective of the Programme is: To contribute to further technological development and education of highly competent dr. and master candidates in the field of intensive marine juvenile technology, with main emphasise on cod The following research strategy will contribute to the fulfilment of the main objective of the Pro-gramme, including the selection of the main tasks that will be covered: * Base the developments of juvenile cod technology on experience from seabass and seabream in Southern Europe, as well as the current international status for cod * Create interactions between biological and technological disciplines, and develop an integrated hatchery technology based on methods of modern industrial process control and automation * Base research and developments on the broad generic international competence of the multi-disciplinary group involved * Establish links and a student/consultant exchange programme with competent organisations in-volved in seabass and seabream * Establish links with the national cod industry, and stimulate dr. and master students to carry through parts of their experimental work in the commercial hatcheries
