In this paper, we focus on creative collaboration among university students in distance learning. We describe the design of a Joint European Course in which students from Estonia, Finland, and Norway work on creating a multimedia book, learning new media technology, educational technology, and cooperation technology. We present the pedagogical model of the course that includes collaborative and problem-based learning, social constructivism, and technology-enhanced learning. In addition, we shortly describe the technological model of the course for supporting distance creative collaboration that includes wiki, web conferencing, use of mobile devices, and media presentations. This course is being developed within EU CoCreat project. The main goal of the project is to develop and evaluate collaborative spaces for learners of different ages in order to promote creative collaboration and to explore new and innovative learning models.
