Emerging artifical intelligence (AI) technologies such as ChatGPT chatbot, Grammarly virtual writing assistant, Hivemind writing tool and so on have disrupted assessment practices in teacher education and the school, thus putting pressure on teachers' professional digital competence. In this project, we examine how and to what extent AI-enhanced digital learning resources impact on teaching, learning, and assessment practices in language education, with a focus on English and foreign languages, as well as the correlation to teachers' PDC. The purpose of the project is to develop new knowledge about the relationship between AI, assessment, and teachers' PDC in teacher education and the school.
